Low-Complexity Detection Algorithms Applied to FTN-GFDM Systems

New applications for mobile networks are pushing the data rates to higher numbers, requiring new solutions support demand throughput. In urban and dense areas, use of massive multiple-input multiple-output, high bands in millimeter waves, ultra-dense based on small cells being used provide rates. However, these not applicable enhanced remote areas communications scenario, where large must be deployed using vacant VHF or UHF an opportunistic spectrum allocation approach. this case, one reasonable solution increase overall system rate is enhance waveform efficiency. This paper proposes a scheme improve generalized frequency division multiplexing spectral efficiency by exploiting faster-than-Nyquist principles time domains without introducing any penalties terms bit error rate. achievement obtained under-sampling time-frequency grid, which results transmitting more symbols per sample, while controlled amount interference transmitted waveform. On receiver side, low complexity detectors, such as sphere decoder, successive symbol-by-symbol sequence estimation, with go-back K estimator, frequency-domain equalization, can reconstruct data. presents details adapting mentioned detectors proposed it also analyzes their performance under different channel models implementation complexity. From all considered paper, decoder stands out because interesting tradeoff between rate, even scenarios. Other detection schemes initially multiple-output systems adapted deal introduced affordable acceptable performance. Hence, may conclude that feasible candidate scenario when necessary.
